About the project
A recent installation carried out just before Christmas. We were approached by a local community centre for Air Conditioning as they wanted to upgrade their main heating source due to it being oil, which isn’t very cost effective or sustainable. We recommended the Panasonic NX systems which run on R32 refrigerant resulting in a lower GWP as well as running costs. The NX systems also feature virus, odour and bacteria inhibiting technology, perfect for keeping the air quality to a high without the need of ventilation. In fact, the technology even has a 99.99% rate in inhibiting Covid-19, keeping their guests and visitors safe indoors.
Our installation consisted of 2 areas; the main bar and the foyer. Both systems are fed from a single 10kW outdoor unit using a triple header and twin refnet to separate the units. This not only reduces the amount of outdoor units but also energy consumption. Three 3.5kW wall mounted units were installed within the bar, and 2 x 5kW ceiling suspended units installed in the foyer.
All pipe work was installed on galvanised Unistrut steel tray work for support, with Störnch anti-vibration rubber feet used for both tray and condensers.
